I once played a WW2 sim and tried to launch an amphibious assault with my Japanese landing crafts against entrenched Marines. I neglected to call in smoke rounds at the landing zone and got my ass kicked! All this to say, I feel for these ships of yours. This is a wonderfully dramatic render, and it definitely passes the density test! :~D Cheers!

This render was another one of those days-long affairs, with the volumetric clouds really sucking up loads of system resources. Luckily, I had some other home-built computers to network the render so that my main PC wasn't bogged down for many hours. Thanks for the comment!
