Description
I've wanted to do this image for a long time now. Based on the 80's song "99 Red Balloons" by Nena.
A war begins when trigger happy generals send planes to intercept a mass of unidentifed objects (balloons) just above the horizon. The conflict escalates as everyone wants a piece of the action, and by the end of the song there is nothing left... no fighters, no balloons, just a world in ruins.
Lyrics to the song can be found here.........

Rendered in Bryce 5.5
No postwork at all. The cartoon look was achieved by re-texturing the city and a lot of radial lighting.
CREDITS
F18's - Planit 3d (I think)
Dystopia city blocks - Moebius87
Ajrarn's Morphing Balloon - Freestuff
