Description
Yes, folks, once again this is a shot from the blossom-rich Walsterway Iris Gardens in Maltby, Washington.
This is the last of the ultra-macro-closeup shots. There will be more iris photos coming! They just won't be of the staring-down-your-throat variety.
I would tell you that I did no postwork on this, but actually, there was this one little spot on one of the petals . . . dirt or lint or some other weirdness . . . that I cloned out. I suppose I could have toned down the very high key top portion, or brought up the shadows in the lower right, but I liked the extreme contrast.

looks like a big caterpillar crawling out of the iris.very beautiful as the last post
Oh wow, such deep purples I love it...Iris are so pretty.
Georgia O'Keeffe would be proud.
I like this shot as it is. All shade of purple from lightest to the darkest. Was a very enjoyable iris series.
So beautiful and such deep colors. Very nice
This is just fine. The high contrast shows the range of the flower best. I love these, Tara, keep them coming.

A beautiful shade of purple, like a royal robe. This is just gorgeous T!
Such beautiful colours! Excellent work!
Lovely rich colour, great capture!
Ah, another masterful macro of the magnificent iris, in all its splendor, this particular variety in lovely mauve/purple colors. But, and this is a big butt, with my penchant for postwork, I personally would have lessened the contrast, bringing the very dark parts out of the shadows, thereby exposing the wonderfully detailed textures to the world.
O I love the colors Sweet day to you with a smile
fantastic:) 5++
This is gorgeous! I can almost smell the grape like fragrance coming from this beauty! Superb capture. Bunny
