"What a HIDEOUS decor!" Leiutenant Dakk remarked with disdain. Captain Dokka Tkarro said curtly, "Dakk! We're here conducting and investigation into some deaths, not to write a report about how the walls look like the patrons have already vomited on them. White-Lady, I do commend you on your choice of attire. I'm impressed." White-Lady, the tall Telepath said, "Thank you. I knew that already. I thought your eyes would pop out and roll on the floor. I might stay out here? Cotton Candy doesn't like us 'ARTIFICIAL' telepaths." Dokka spotted Cotton's pink candy-floss colored hair. He remarked,"Good! YOU'll take point on the interview. Dakk, keep the scanner on her. Let's go." Dokka lead the way throught the pub named 'Underbelly of the Sky' to Cotton's table. He said, "We need to ask you questions about what happened around 1:51 PM today. White-Lady will conduct the interview." Cotton sneered. "Why did you bring this 'THING' here to bother me?" White-Lady adopted a cooly amused look and asked softly,"After the incident, you went home and changed clothes after being told to remain on scene. Why did you do that?" Cotton waved a hand and said,"I was ash-covered after we found the bodies. I have a Royal Social function tonight with my Prince. I had to clean up." White-Lady paused and then asked in the same soft, prying voice, "It had nothing to do with getting the blood off your face and covering contusions with make-up? One of the emergency responders said you looked, 'Like she had received a savage beating ' unquote." Cotton snarled angrily, "I...fell when the power went out. Landed on my face. I felt humiliated because I'm enhanced, and best of the best." Dakk and Dokka noticed Cotton flexing her right hand, and fiddling nervously with her left ring finger. White-lady asked, "Did you hurt you fist punching the Discard you were chasing?" Cotton nodded a fraction of a degree and exploded at White-Lady, "WHAT? NO! I fell! Godammit! What are you playing at, you mutant FREAK?" White-Lady said cool as frozen carbon dioxide, "You said to your men, 'Bring this one in, in any condition. As long as we have a body to show my prince, I'll be happy.' You've been the prince's consort since you were a child. Did his passion for this discard make you jealous?" Cotton jumped to her feet and growled at White-Lady. A fire ';poofed' into blaze in the artificial fireplace next to Cotton, as if on cue. Cotton bit off, "I have co-operated as far as I am going to. It was a freak accident. I was around the corner. My MEN can vouch for that! Good DAY, Captain Dokka!" Cotton stormed out, red-faced. Dakk sighed sadly, "The tripod of crime raises high!" White-Lady blinked. "What?" Dokka frowned, and said flatly, "Crime rests on three legs. She had Opportunity--she was there. She had Means--she has control of many city-wide security systems, and was armed. NOW-- she has Motive! Dammit. Many a killing stems from jealousy. If Toxic had beaten the crap out of her to get away, Cotton would have been in a murderous rage."
