Description

Dokka Tkarro had looked at the information long enough. He said to the vid-phone, "Call my brother, Vergun." Vergun picked up quickly and knew there was someting drastically wrong when he saw his little brother's face. "What is it, Dokka?" Dokka cleared his throat and said with a voice thick with emotion, "Kella's dead. I'm sorry, brother. There's no easy way to say it. She didn't suffer." Vergun looked devastated and sobbed, and asked in a crackling voice, "How? HOW did it happen?" Dokka blinked and said horsely ,"I've been appointed by the Princess to investigate the deaths. As soon as I can speak of it, I'll be by. Obba is here, I need to question him. I'll talk to you later." His brother nodded in numb, heart-broken pain and clicked off. Dokka's heart was breaking as he looked at the diagram of where the bodies had been found. A plasma-curtain had ruptured. The corridor had been exposed to temperatures in excess to twelve thousand degrees kelvin. There shouldn't have been ANY bodies! One of the Rogue-Hunters bodies' had one finger almost encapsulated by solidified titanium from his melted armor. The women's hair had been frizzed short by the heat, when they should have vaporized. All the clothes, including the armor, had vaporized and formed a soot on the corridor walls. Dokka thought about calling the Medical Examiner again, but held off. The poor man was about to have a nervous breakdown at the impossibility of the bodies. The Medical Examiner said that the five bodies were the 'deadest dead bodies' he had ever seen. No cellular activity was found, even in the bacteria in the colons. None of the batteries in the android girl, or Argoth's cyborg body had, or could hold a charge. There was not one burn on any of the bodies. There was no radiation damage found in any of the cell samples taken from the bodies. Dokka had almost slapped the M.E. when he answered Dokka's question of ,"What was the cause of death?" The M.E. had said, "They died from not...being alive." There were bodies where NO bodies could be. They had died at 1:51:57 PM. That was the ONLY concrete thing Dokka had. Across the city, two other things had happened simultaneously. The Flying City MMI lifters had failed completely. Then the power grid shut down to keep the lifters from exploding. That lasted for almost two seconds. Then everything restored to working status. In the under-city, at 1:51:57 PM, Ahrini, the Trow genius who had figured out how to make a new technology from the MMI's had collapsed in a dead faint, and had not roused since. Dokka's stomach complained. He groaned and downed some anti-acids, and took a sip of his hot Jolla. Over his console intercom came a pleasant female voice, "Dokka? This is White-Lady. If you're ready--we can start interviewing people." He stood up and looked at the faces of the dead. He turned off the consoles and left his office with a darkly grim mood. --TO BE CONTINUED!!-- Media is the usual suspects. Is this the end of Toxic, Kella and BlueBell? Just hang on--thing are getting wilder as things start coming together!

I used the Dystopian Console as a base and did loads of pre-work on the monitors to sync up the info for the story.

This is the best image you've done so far and the story is great. Have you thought of turning this into a graphic novel? You could sell it here on Renderosity. IT's very good.
