Description
The other day I stopped after work at my favorite local nursery. Credit where it's due! I only pointed my camera at stuff, I didn't grow it!
Wight's is in Lynnwood, Washington. www.wights.com.
This afternoon I finally did my first run-through of the four hundred thirty-four photographs I took there! (What on EARTH was I thinking? Somebody needs to stop me!) I came across this shot (#85) and it dropped me in my tracks. I didn't Photoshop the background - it came out of the camera that way. I did do some postwork, but not much.
So if you want to purchase some fine roses, I suggest you consider Wight's! They were very nice and just left me alone while I wandered around taking pictures of everything. Nobody gave me any aggro, and the only person who even looked at me funny was a customer . . . but that's another story, which I promise I'll tell you later!

Amazing detail and colours! Great capture!!!
Perfect title! Gorgeous photo with such beautifully detailed petals, just like kissing lips.........
Gorgeous capture!!
wonderful detail...the light is nice and soft
the petal texture is incredible,almost can feel it on the lcd
That is absolutely the pinnacle of loveliness in rose, or even flower, photography! Fantastic POV, super clarity, detail and lighting effects, a minimum of postwork...words fail me in my admiration of this capture, my dear! Hence, I will now spend the rest of the evening trashing the rose photos I did not post as yet. What's the use, how can I ever match this?
fanttica foto.++++++++5
Beautiful! Such a gorgeous flower to begin with and you captured it fabulously! Lovely way to show it off too.
Wow, that is a beautiful, amazing shot.
so lovely
Tara this shot almost needs a content advisory! LOL Actually it is a most sensual flower, which goes really well with your title. The color is captivating as is your capture! :)
Stellar! wonderful texture, pov and the rose has wonderful form.
Aren't you glad that "film" is free with digital cameras? I do stuff like that all the time. It's not at all unusual to come back from a short trip with several hundred photos. But I'm finally getting better and deleting the bad ones. Regarding this shot, it stopped me in my tracks, too. Perfect composition, and an almost perfect DOF. The flower did its part, too; what a great color. Ten stars!!
Love the texture of the petals, so gorgeous shot.
