Description
The white-tailed eagle is the largest UK bird of prey. It has brown body plumage with a conspicuously pale head and neck in this juvenile bird, which can be almost white in older birds this fact appears to be common in all fish eagles, and is thought to make its head invisible to the fish.
The tail feathers of adults are white, and thus the most usual name in Britain, rather than its other names such a Sea Eagle. In flight it has massive long, broad wings with 'fingered' ends. Its head protrudes and it has a short, wedge-shaped tail.

I can confirm you had a very good idea to add this postwork to your capture ! Great one again Danny !
Such fabulous postwork..... again a exceptional capture!
Oh Danny!! This is magnificent!! The postwork adds so much atmosphere to the capture but the eagle's details and clarity is amazing. Wonderful shot. xx
He is so magnificent and so haughty looking. I love the dramatic feel of this image Danny. Brilliant work, again! Eileen xx
majestic photo, nice one mate.
Well, its dramatic for sure and I love the information, however, I almost think there is too much postwork. For me (and probably only me) it doesn't look real and natural anymore. I like your setting and background and all of that but there is something about the tones, hues and saturations that make it more dramatic than real life. Or maybe its the shadowing that is too sharp or to deep or something... I wish I knew more about postworking things, then I'd be able to pin point what it is that isn't working for me...
personally i prefer your pure amazing Photography. It looks to much like a collage.
Doesnt work for me either.
Spectacular work my friend.
Very nice work!
I am seriously loving my new laptop screen!! Your photos in HD really come to life (I have to say they always looked a little dark & a little soft on my old CRT monitor). The detail here is amazing, almost like I've had cataracts removed. Looking at the comments above I wonder if the type of screen used affects the viewer comments? Yes, this is clearly a composite, but the effect is no different from that obtained from skillful use of fill-flash. I know you have a big 21" monitor, I wonder if the guys critting above don't? Good stuff. More, please!
Speecless... a gem !
What a stunning and majestic image for this majestic bird. Wow!
