Description
I set this big window on my kitchen cointer. I by myself so it do not matter now. I useing it as my UV lighting studio.
The upper left shows the window with some stuff on it. do not drink out of the glass. I mixed petroleum jelly with some red neon paint to get a texture.
The upper right show the studio with just the UV lighting on. I now wareing some 100 precent UV glasses to protect my eyes. They are clear.
The lower left show how I useing the 'Joby gorillapod" tripod. I google a boom type tripod and they was $450 on up and now what I was looking for. Can not use them the way I wish. So I thought of useing the tea bottle I was useing and it worked real good I could even take my hands off the camera as the timer was on to shoot.
The bottom right is what I thought would be a good boom camera arm. I did put the 'Joby gorillapod" tripod on it and it was good. But I would like to take off the magifind glass and tape on a real tripod to the upper arm so I can use the head of the tripod too. As you see it plug in behind this bookshave that weigth a ton. Plus the magifind glass works so I like to find one that is broken to work on. I can move around with this setup boom camera tripod. Can work on flowers too.

this is for rainbows she say in a comment about the 'Joby gorillapod" tripod. I IM her to tell her I have one and how to use it. Here is one of the many ways to use it. Put it on a top of a bottle.

I didn't think of the joby gorillapod. I've seen them and almost got one but wondered what I could use it for. This is a great idea! love the commentary that goes with the photos. All very interesting.

creative work Jock. I made my own boom tripod adapter for less than $30.00. I bought a small tripod from walmart that has a 1/4" screw mounting bolt in the center. I then took a aluminum angle about 3' long and drilled holes.one to mount on the regular tripod with a 1/4" nut and washers and one or more for the head of the small tripod from walmart. I thought about taking a picture and post in the forum. I thought someone would laugh, but it does the job very well

These are wonderful works, Jock!! I like all four.. I am going to give this "Joby gorillapod" My very best try!! I have been practising on the tree branches and gate today. Also using the mop stick too :-) I will do it.. Jock, thank you for help. The gorillapod looked so little, I did not know what to do with it. LOL!! You think good.. to extend the height by a stout stick. I will try your bottle top technique. I will upload a shot as soon as I have mastered it. We are good help to each other at RR, I like that. Very creative and informative information Jocko, illustrated well by your four photos. We have a store here, Dollar Tree, that currently has a very small plastic tripod for a dollar. Could be a cheap and good way to get the camera attachment piece for a slef made settup using a swing arm lamp or magnifier (like the one in your photos). I have seen used swing arm lamps at Goodwill for about $2.50, but have yet to find a nice lighted swing arm magnifier like you have there. Excellent info and photos!!!

The more I think Jocko of it, the more I believe that you will have to launch you in the cinema of animation. You horizontally assemble your decorations and you photographs your creations on a horizontalo plan, while mounting your camera on a ' statif' of reprographie/macrophotograpie, and two lamps flood to create or erase the shades. When I made photography, I faisiat thus of the reproduction of pages of livrs without efforts... not without perspiration...

I had to have a "crane" for my monstrosity. If it was just a wooden model on a plastic sheet sea I could have used this method. So it is that reality becomes a setup.
