Description
Named after Queen Victoria this is the largest of the pigeon family left alive today about the size of a small turkey, and would vie for the title of the most Beautiful with my post yesterday.. Like its Cousin the Dodo now extinct this bird may suffer the same fate due to continuing habitat loss, being tame and easily hunted for its plumes and meat, the Victoria Crowned Pigeon is evaluated as a Vulnerable endangered species

I know this pigeon better than the one you posted yesterday. A rare blue color they have and called Kroonduif (dove with a crown on it's head) in Dutch.
