This looks very similar to the Digger Wasp found on the following web page... http://www.whatsthatbug.com/wasps.html Could be the same. In any event, its a doozy! Great shot.
maybe a flying ant? good shot anyways
Have no idea and dont want to find out. hehe. Excellent macro:)
my guess would be a fly mimic. they take on so many different disguises.outstanding macro
Great macro, but not a clue what it is.
I have no idea... but I don't like the way it's looking at me!
...think it's a flying ant species...laying eggs would be typical for them...if you get the chance,or already have...a side shot would be equally cool!
Very cool! ^^ Great macro!
It belongs to the wasp family, just not to the yelllow jacket kind, unfortunately its name escapes me. The good news is that it is a benificial insect with a Japanese sounding name. Thank you for sharing. egmont
Mrs. Lubner was right - the is a Great Golden Digger Wasp. Nice shot!
maybe is a ant with wings? I dont know but the colours look great
Nice POV, an excellent capture!
