Description
Nikon 7900 image.
It seems I see a new species or two of Dragonflys every season. I am not always successful in getting images of them though.
This year I have seen a Red Saddlewing one that just won't cooperate and this small blue one that finally did, lol.
The fine detail in this image is definitly worth the large view click I think. You should see it at the full actual size of 2363 x 2187!

An excellent macro, beautifully captured.
Truly beautiful, love the contrast between the bright metallic blue dragonfly and muted brow reeds. The composition is also really nice, gives a good sense of depth and three-dimensionality. Detail is astounding. I'd have to say this deserves a higher ranking than Five, actually.
Excellent detail and Colours, Well done!
This blows me right out of my seat! I wish I could see the detail at YOUR full size and not RR's. I bet it is enough to make you go blind! The background is nicely soft to allow the DF to take center stage. The compo is perfect staging. Love it.
This is a splendid shot ! The sharpness is excellent and the 2 opposite tones are in perfect harmony. Another masterpiece !
This is one amazing macros. I love the irredesence of the blue - definite a full view to do this any justice. I agree with those above, the DOF and composition are perfect. Excellent. xx

My opinion is this one is best yet ! You either have tons of patience or are one lucky man.
The clarity and colors .. WOW! It just doesn't get any better than this. GOOD JOB!
