Interesting and fantastic capture!!! Awesome view!!!
The lighting is good in this, you can see definition in the lava field. I imagine the view really changes depending on the time of day. =)
Oh yes, I like this texture and perfect lighting and color ! Good day :)
I see a frog on the right side hiding in it's lair wishing for cooler times. the power is mind boggling
I remember hearing about this flow when Nice shot.
I see a person holding or carrying something about in the middle...between the two orange areas. Great photo! Just keep that lava flowing so it's still going next time I get back there. :)
make you wonder what going on inside the earth. wonderful shots
I dont want to know what going inside the earth. That's too big for me.
Wow, thats an amazing shot. To think its been going that long.
Thank you madam Pele for extending the boundries of our island home. And thank you Sharky for capturing her ever increasing progress....Yay! More Big Island!! Aloha!
Always lovely colours and pure beauty you have here
I think it's great that Pele is extedning the island; more room for me next time I come back. Beautiful shot, Errol.
Excellent colours and contrast. Is it scary living somewhere that has lava eruptions?
I just love the textures and shapes you can see in this. Another great shot, Errol! Keep 'em coming!
What... no baboon?? LOL!! I love the movement in this shot - great colours and a very dramatic mood. Excellent.
A wonderful shot Errol!! I see a lizard in the black lava, third layer up. Superb work, as Eileen says.. keep them coming. Aloha. Diane.
I loved Punaguy's comment! L sharky, I'm not up on the news of this eruption .. is there a chance it will blow and cause damage to your homeland? Love this series .... I hope you continue it til there are no more cameras lol
Nice capture:)
onefeather...It seems like as long as this particular volcano (Pu'u O'o) continues to erupt, it release some of the pressure build up of Kilauea. But one can never tell as at times the tilt meter and inflation seems to be going up indicating that a larger scale of eruption may occur. Then it deflates. Earth quake tremors varies. But if this volcano does burst open again with intensity, most of the houses in this area has already been destroyed. There are a few more houses that are still in danger and hope their luck stays with them. The active volcano that we are really worried about is "Mauna Loa" , the worlds largest volcano. The most recent eruption was in 1984 and it was headed towards the town of Hilo (where I live). Thank God it stopped in time. Its not a matter of if but when it will erupt again. Thanks for asking... Aloha
Very nice image. It's a very good work! Very hot and special!
Ah yes, the volcanos are just biding their time, waiting for the perfect moment(s) to erupt, spewing lava down the hills, etc., etc. The earth is a living entity (Gaia), and never still. In any event, Sharky, another superb capture of the ever boiling lava.
HOT!
Excellent shot of this impressive and hot textures. Very interesting again, superbly done!!
Excellent work
Beautiful lava flow. The earth always changing and growing. This is a sign of her life. Aloha!
Lucky you to be able to capture such photos from this long lasting eruption. At a relatively peaceful one at that thank goodness!
did say there was something peeking out there! great shot
never ending danger! fantastic capture and impression! ;o)
