Description
This was taken in Southern California. I couldn't resist capturing this view as I was driving.

breath taking vista/capture. have you noticed that many views seem to disappear when you stop and get out to take it on foot?or by the time you find a safe place something blocks the view
It truly is Breathtaking. A Majestic Mountain sitting, watching over the lives of the city!!!! Beautiful Shot!!!! 5*****
im glad u did, great pic.
Wonderful shot! I've been known to do this myself from time to time. They don't usually turn out quite so well as yours!
Lovely image:)
Excellent photo! Bravo!!*****!!
Beautiful and almost surrealistic shot! The Palms against the mountains is amazing! Excellent!
The grandeur of this beautiful mountain is just awe inspiring! You've captured it well...
Now that IS AWESOME! Oh to live somewhere like that, or somewhere close. A truly brilliant capture, and to say you are mobile whilst taking it, fantastic. Thanks for taking the time to comment on my rose. Drive safely. ++
a remarkable shot, very good quality considering you were on the move. (personally i would have cropped out the car, the road and the telegraph pole to concentrate the eye on the palm tree against the mountain)
Beautiful scenic capture of the trees against the snow covered mountain. What section and/or road in Southern California was this taken from? Since there hasn't been any significant rain/snow around here for eons the snow pack is probably long gone by now.
Reminds me of Milliken and Jurupa, Ontario, CA.
this is a beautiful photo, amazing that you did this through a winshield
BEAUTIFUL ! Well (but dangerously...) done, Melinda !
Not an easy thing to do necessarily (I've tried it myself). The mountains there are breathtaking. Makes me miss parts of Cali.
Really beautiful is this near Palm Springs?
Now THERE is a great view! This is an incredible image that doesn't give that "windshield" impression at all! I love the sense of depth here, and the Speed Limit sign in English...It's been a while since I saw one of those and well...who'd have ever thought that I'd miss them! Anyway...I love this image; it's a fantastic piece of work.
that looks like Mt. San Antonio "Mt. Baldy" with some new snow. what a shot on it.
A fantastic capture of snow covered mountains and a palm tree - especially with this bold shot through the windshield.
