An ecological experiment. Many years ago scientists brought back samples of rocks from Mars .. a couple of these were put in a sealed aquarium, and left alone. The rocks began to release ornanisms .. it isn't known what they are, but they are growing at a prolific rate, and there is the worry that they may burst the glass sides of the aquarium. They are beautiful, they glow at night in the darkened laboratory. Often the technicians stay late just to watch them dance.
