Does the mind take in these dark shapes as objects or just as globs of shade? I certainly made no objects with my pencil as whole things nor as outlines. On this one I could not just outline the negative space to give the positions of the white space first and then do a light and dark mapping. What I did do is begin on the center bottom. Then it was a test of short term memory in detail and then sequentially as overall location whether anything would appear except a gray blob. The one thought that I used to choose what to present was Middle West/Detroit area. I had no Internet and no computer to disambiguate this but from a whole series of previous sketch eas I left my notebook power adapter so I could not even work offline. Once I was back here physically I scanned this to see if I was mentally here yet. ???!! On the way home in the car I was thinking this is in the overscan area on the display sort of like a frame on a painting. Is that how memory shares existence with visual concurrency?
