Description
This is the third and probably the last of the images I will upload of my work done on the directory for the church. The committee was having trouble deciding on a cover for the directory but they had specific ideas & criteria in mind. One of them being that they felt it important to have the slogan for the year somewhere on the cover. The original slogan reads -
"Know the Heart of Christ.
See the face of Christ.
Be the hands of Christ."
So I just tweaked it to make it sound as if those goals were already accomplished and made a collage of parishioners to fit the theme. I changed it to imply that the community is currently "Being the hands of Christ, Seeing the face of Christ and Knowing the Heart of Christ" by their actions and role modeling in the photos. Since they were leaning toward the sepia tones, I came up with this.
I don't know if I would done it exactly this way - but hey... I wasn't calling all the shots! At least they liked it and it's published.
:-D
Hope your weekend was fabulous.

Oh I love your version and how it is presented as well..... I think maybe they should let you do the cover designs:) Excellent idea and image sweetie Hugs Susan~
Awwww! That image is so touching Jodie!! Thank you for the post dear JOE
Since I'm super secular/humanist in such matters, I really can't comment on the photos, except to say nice touch, Jodie.
Nice photos. I'm sure they reflect the wishes of the committee very nicely.
The layout is simple. All key factors are there. This is a nice layout for a church directory.
Absolutely perfect for the purpose... Excellent composition work, Jodie ! Have a great week !
Very nicely done...
such an impressive collage...well done....love the sepia
A special cover. Excellent work. Aloha
Excellent composition and sepia is good!
Oh, so beautiful composition and excellent christian mood here !!! Excellent my lady dear !!! Good day :)
Beautiful solution... Having the varous elements "face" each other is always a good idea, I think. The colors draw everything together. Perfect. I'd say your Church was blessed when you stepped up to handle this task.
Beautiful presentation! Well done!
I like what you did with this; great cover!
Beautifully done...
Oh this is wonderful!! I worked in the office of my church, Christ Lutheran, up in Fortuna for over 6 yrs... hardest job I've ever had LOL ---- soooo many bosses ;-) Now that I've started up my photography again I've been toying with the idea of doing something like this for them someday! This is lovely work!!!
I think you have done an excellent job of weaving the long slogan into the collage and illustrated it very appropriately.
very impressive church layout and expression ( this year i did work for a church too and so i am especially appreciative and impressed here!!)
