About the movie:
Equilibrium is a 2002 action/science fiction film written and directed by Kurt Wimmer. The movie draws from classic dystopian novels such as Nineteen Eighty-Four (totalitarian state), Fahrenheit 451 (destruction of literature), We, Anthem, This Perfect Day and Brave New World (use of drugs to create uniform individuals), as well as from the Outlanders series of novels, and films such as Logan's Run and THX-1138. Christian Bale has the lead role in the film and is supported by Taye Diggs, Christian Kahrmann, Emily Watson and Sean Bean.
The movie performed poorly at the box office. Although it was received well by test audiences, the film was given only a limited release and little promotion.
It became a cult movie after its distribution in DVD.

Ive not seen the movie but this makes me want to, really dramatic and the use of fonts and image works really well together.
I've seen the movie. This image captures it pretty well. The stoic face while performing almost magical work with their dual-weilding gun style, almost zen-like with a touch of matrix. Not sure I would have seen it at the theater, but it's a must-see on DVD. Definitely a Blade Runner-esque movie: possible reality with a sudden moral compass that conflicts with his job and popular philosophy.
Now I have to go look for the DVD .. judging from your writing, your image, and the comments .. it will be worth watching! Love the image, very dark and eerie feel to it ..
Ive been told about this movie from an x co- worker and i could never remember the name since this person no longer is employed at the company i work for, thanks for resurfaceing the name from my forgetfull mind now i must rent this movie before i forget again ! Wonderfull lighting and shadow casting going on here .
