Description
It was Loki, of course. Only the prince of lies and deceit could convince the gods the eons had seen them grow soft and lame. That their power and stature were weakened by the falling off of what was once potent reverence.
Odin wondered, perhaps the gods needed to reaffirm their place. Balder was sent to Migard with the message. He returned a walking joke. Infuriated with tales of a man that no longer desired walking gods.
It was decided to teach the inferiors better. Odin

Looking at this now I know my next project has GOT to be to learn to apply transmaps to the eyebrows and lashes. My past attempts have just been horrendous though...

Nice work on the art; the story's interesting, but I believe "the beautiful goddess Frey" should be "the beautiful goddess Freya" -- Frey is a male god, Freya is his sister.
You're absolutely right, Walt. I confused the sex of Frey, "god of sunshine, warm summer showers, fruitfulness, peace and prosperity", who is, at least in the text I referred to, considered "young and beautiful", with Freya, the "goddess of love and beauty". I've made the corrections. Appreciate the input. And thanks for taking the time to notice.
