Description
Everything went quiet. Then the birds flew. They went to the cliff and saw it coming. Floating silent and menacingly along the gorge, with a growing hum. The hairs on the back of their necks and arms rose. One threw his spear, but it fell short. They watched until it was gone. Their descendants still tell the story.

used Originalmoron's ship. LisaB's plants and some Bryce trees. Sun turned off with one radial with no falloff for the sunlight. Foreground is blocked from the light.

Excellent! Humorous too. Fantastic all around. Would like to see more!
love how you tell a story. :)
Excellent! Wonderful game with light!!!
You know, if a spaceship came here hundreds of years ago, landed in some jungle, this is what I think it would look like. Superb render for sure, love that mystical mood!!!
Cool light contrast work ;-)
Awesome composition!
Like it!
I like the nice contrast of the siloette against the over exposed backdrop with the ship.
A great piece seen through the silouette of the forest
Fantastic render, so well put together, you matched the forest perfectly with the sunlight background :) Angela

Excellent lighting effect Dave. I wonder if it would have popped... [=
Love that concept - thats so cool! Really like the style of the image too - thanx for sharing your setup on how to achieve the silhouetted foreground. A very well conceived scene!
Saw this the other day, floating past Wallmart......Great work as always! 5
Interesting....
As always, a masterful piece!!!!!
Rotfl!!! This is what would happen, would it not? OM's model is getting tested to its limits here...reminds me of the commercial with the gorilla jumping on the suitcases. Tough stuff. Not sure why, just does :)
That is really nice moody picture.
