Here is the front view from my last post "New Moon Walk" . The flash from the camera causes the lava to be more yellow than it really is. Aloha and thank you for viewing.

It's amazing!!!... how do you manage to take such a close picture without damaging your camera? Don't the metal parts inside melt or smth?
prionbrain. It is hot and sometimes will burn the hair off from our legs. At that time, we usually jump back to save our cameras. Sometimes we need to zoom in a little but try to keep it to a minimum. Wind conditions plays an important part of how close we stand next to the lava. If the cool mountain wind blows the heat away from us, we are at an advantage. A lot of times you get in fast and get out faster. So far we've been pretty lucky with our cameras. Thanks for asking.
