Description
AloooooooHa!
More from the Rodeo. This was the first little girl to go in the barrel racing event. She must have been 50 lbs. soaking wet and 4 ft. nothing. If you look at the size of her compared to the horse the difference is quite immense. In this event her size was an advantage for her as the horse was able to run hard with just a little weight on it's back. And run it did!! This was the most impressive ride I saw all day.....This lil cowgirl could ride hard and had no fear of this big horse. It was quite amazing how fast she could ride this horse and stay in control. My hats off to this cowgirl, she was scary to watch as she just let the horse run as fast as it would go. She placed second in this event.....but what a show she put on! This is not cleanest shot, but this lil girl was just too fast.
Mahalo's for all your comments on this series so far....I will try and post some calf mugging shots next, and save some of my bull riding shots for last....thanks for dropping in pardners! Aloha~

Wow what an awesome action shot here.
I agree, she was the most impressive rider for me. She barely touched the stirrups yet she had that horse moving at warp speed. Hats off to this lil-cowgirl. Excellent .. Aloha
Go Cowgirl Go! Lots of spirit there! Way to go Dave~ Beautiful.
Awesome capture!
This lill girl looks like forge together with a horse flying freely and knowing what to do!Good to know she got second. Well we will see her again next year I guess!

I think this is a great action shot, Dave, and I don't even like rodeo. :-) I love the way you captured the look in the horse's eye. He's as much a competitor as she is.
I wonder how she sees. This is good action and with that dirt coming off hoofs the speed was right on.
Briliant action shot:0
great foto and story. I find this a sharp foto for such a fast actionshot on a cloudy day. what speed setting did you put the camera on?

Hey cowpoke! Another great action shot. Still lots of detail to see full size even with the motion blur. She looks like she's flying! Aloha.
so cool, money can't buy that connection between human and horse....colors are awesome too, the horses socks and her blouse...caldwell should use it in their ads!...the horse looks just as into it as she is :)
