Description

I have not been close up to many swans, so I'm no pro. But last Saturday when I was told of the hundreds of swans at the river, of course I had to go, but I also brought a friend along. She said they weren't swans .. she said they were white Geese! Of course that deflated me. So I called my husband and asked him if he knew for sure .. being the country boy that he is; he knows every wild flower, every kind of tree, animals, birds .. he said yes, they are swans. So here are some swans in flight. lol Now I didn't have to tell this story .. but I had to explain .. just in case by golly these suckers are GEESE. You managed a super composition here. The diagonal flight path makes it great be they geese or swans, LOL. Catchy blue background!

I already have collected hundreds of swan pictures but I was missing a capture in flight, and this one is really exceptional !!! A trio against the blue sky ! Excellentissime photo, Shari !

oh, yesterday at night there was a wing of geese flying over my parents house at one o'clock direction east and talking and talking and talking ;-) i alsways wish the traveling birds a good journey. it might end at any airport....with death!

Beautiful shot. Like the lighting and the focus. It is funny how I have never seen swans fly. They seem to always be a bad moods and trying to fight you when you get close to the pond they are on. :)
