"Dont Make Love At The Garden Gate, Love Is Blind But The Neighbours Ain't." ~ Proverb
I am a bit pressed for time today, so no bloviating, heheheh. I was lucky enough to visit the Morikami gardens with my wife this weekend, and finally took some IR landscape photos with my Olympus and a Hoya R72 filter in the late afternoon sun. The C-8080 is not the best camera for infra red photography as the sensor is shielded by a fairly strong IR filter and it is prone to getting hot spots. However, with a little postwork, the images can sometimes be salvaged on occasion may even look halfway decent. The photos can be a little noisy too, but at web resolution, it takes on the appearance of film grain. Please click "zoom in" to see it full size, if you don't have that set as your preference. Thanks! -----

A beautiful capture! The light is wonderful!
Hey Kortalouche. Sorry I haven't been commenting all that much lately, but I have been peeking in and your work has been wonderful. This is beautiful!I love how soft the textures look, especially through the gate. Lovely capture,my friend. Great job!-M :^)
Superb work! Bravo Kort...
Looks like the entrance into a land full of fairies... Lovely - even though the "tilting" of the gate makes me want to bend my head to the right to get it straight...
Fantastic image, great POV and outstanding tones. Looks beautiful!!
Wonderful light and shadows... Lovely
AWWW! Very pretty capture!! Awesome light , and I really like the mood here too.
really like this
I love infra-red. I can't seem to get the same effect from digital conversion as I did using good old-fashioned infra-red film with a red filter. This is a brilliant example of infa-red. Bravo!!
The effect is awesome! I love the fantasy feel of this!
how lovely, love the tones as well..it invites me to follow that path !!
Nice one, i just love IR and I just got my old canon DSLR converted with an internal R72 filter (no hot spots)!! More Please!!
IMPOSING, a BW which has much class!
Magnifique light and shadow capture in the infrared spectrum! What zany avatars?
Beautiful effect this creates...fascinating!
I really dig the IR FX, makes the scene look like a Winter Wonderland ! sorta like the FX you can get with Tungsten film. ~Cheers~
Excellent shot! ;o)
Wowser Kort the IR really makes this one an eye catcher...good choice and very kewl result....I like it bra!! Aloha~
This effect makes it look like a very old photo, you can almost expect Clark Gable to come around the bend... from an old B&W movie... very cool Kort!!!!
I love the IR effect! Beautiful!
Interesting! I'm not a IR Fan - but yours look good!
wow that is lovely. i going to shot some uv film soon too.
Great IR shot Kort. I'd have to agree about the C-8080 not being the most friendly camera for IR (the C-3030 and C-5050 were better, heck the E-300's IR filter isn't as strong as the 8080's), but you did a fine job compensating with your post work. Excellent as always.
Soft and yummy black and white!
Nice scene. The brushes look good with the extra enhancement on them. I imagine that is the IR.Something I don;t have much knowledge in.
Marvellous. The various plants give this a wonderful texture. The light is dazzling.
A brilliant BW shot with areal fantastic looking light and shadow plax! Wonderfully taken! Bravo!!!
keep enjoying your works Kort. too bad sometimes have little time left for comments.
Stunning. :)
Love the quote and very cool image :o) ~ Hugs ~ (cute avatar too)
