Description
This is a quarry near our home. It froze like this a couple of weeks ago and I couldn't help but notice the Fractal nature of the freezing pattern. The ice is very thin (I threw a small snowball to test it). The temperature has not risen above freezing since then so it's thick enough to walk on now but it doesn't look like this any more.
I know the picture is rather grainy - hopefully we can get a better camera next summer.
Hope everyone (in this hemisphere) is staying warm and
Thanks for Looking!
Ken

Awesome beauty! Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day. Eric.
Hey, great shot! What a wonderful way to look at water! Great job.
What a beautiful day that was. And to think we saw footprints in the snow so close to this sight, and they didn't even turn to look at the beauty..... I still say they must have been 'blind hikers'.... maybe their seeing eye dog kept them away from the edge of the cliff. Well.... they just don't know what they missed. Lovely shot dear, thank you for keeping that image forever fresh for me.
Fantastic shots of this frozen lake. Outstanding textures, very well captured. Looks really impressive. Super!!
Interesting design of the nature, and it use fractals all the times.
Ice can do some amazing things...and shows us that our whole world is made up of fractals. Unique capture!

I've never seen anything like that before ! Mother Nature sure knows how to make those fractals, super captures Ken, just a bit too cold for my liking ! ~Cheers~
