Ultrafractal 4.03 -- more UF/PS/PSP combo texturing...
A little stepping back from my recent obsession with 3d Spheres scenes while I wait for further inspiration on the third one I was doing. Back to the sorta cubist-impressionist "geofractal" "fract-stracts" I was working on prior to being grabbed by the short hairs by Mihai's 3d Spheres - lol. This one is a take-off on my earlier "Vacation Plans" - which was a further exploration of the the IFS-Barnsley+Jock III formula (jock.ufm) that grew from the "Venezia", "Sunshine Skyway" and "South Beach" ones I did a while back in my gallery. Cool how you can go back and tweak your previous stuff and sometimes come up with lots of different variations. Still can't come up with the sheer artistry of Joe Presley's (joefraq) IFS Barney stuff, but maybe if I'd quit dorking with this same location...:-)
I called this one "Homework---" because of the things my weird mind sees in it. There's Junior (or Elroy Jetson? maybe a sorta anime' Speed Racer?) in a baseball cap with a long pen doing homework while outside the "window" the sun is shining. I played with the idea of enhancing the "sunglasses" on the ball of the sun by adding eyeglass frames but wimped out. I tried to give the vibe of a "tree trunk" and green "tree" behind the sun but I'm not sure that will register with "normal" people like y'all - lol. Amazing how many layers (68) something seemingly "simple" like this image can take when you start saying, "this little square should be blue" and you end up with - really! - 6 or 8 masks hanging off some of the layers.
Thanks for stopping by....and don't give the teacher that lame line about how "the dog ate your essay". lol

Another excellent example of fractals as the medium of the art, rather than the art itself. The realistic textures certainly will go a long way in helping the non-fractal/digital viewer to appreciate the art. I'm just curious about the lavender in the sun flares.

This is absolutely wonderful - I loved South Beach, but this is even better (if that is possible). Just when I've got thos pics up, I now want some more! Love the colours and the "paper" feel to this. Someday you're going to have to conduct some "master (or should that be student) classes" on this IFS Barnsley+Jock III, cos I've looked at it and just get mush! But then that's the sign of a master, getting art where others get mush.

I love this geometric - cubistic design.
I love these abstracts, yopu have a very special touch. I see a toch of the 1930's Art Deco posters, also a feel of David Hockney's painting of swimming pools in other words a fab piece of ART :O)

68 layers makes for a lot of eggs. But you seem good at stashing them away. I like the green of that baseball cap. It gives an essential coolness to the picture. That pale echo on the blue field below aint bad either. Very well composed and everything made subject to an idea.
I can only imagine how much work went into it...but the result is outstanding. Breathetaking abstract, Rick!
