Description
Snakes have to be the animal I am most passionate about. They are probley the most miss understood animal in the world. I do what I can to educate people that these are not mean evil creatures, but more of a shy and reclusive animal. Some are easy to provoke and quick to strike and others all they want to do is get away from you. Remember 90% of all snake bites are the fault of the person who was bitten (they picked it up instead of letting it go on its way). I keep many constrictors myself and have a healthy respect for the venomous snakes. Thanks for looking and thanks for your comments.

Fantastic photo!!! So many shades of brown. Love the detail!!!
Excellent shot!
Good one, Sean
Beautiful capture! Growing up on a farm I have had my share of near misses with the southern diamondback rattlesnake and I have to say they are scary. That being said I still wont let my husband kill the snakes around our house, they are beneficial and so far of the non venemous variety. :-)
With the exception that a Rattler will take your leg off when it bites, I agree with you. They are actually a very beautifully colored and pattered reptile!!! Great shot this beauty!!!
