Description
This painting became real after I saw one other artists character that was inspired by another artist work.
I have seen it many times ,
last time I saw it and something snaped in my head (guess it is called inspiration), so I started this piece which was in my mind for long time.
This painting represents my blend version of human-mantis, as I called it MANtis, species.I admire mantis insects, they look so unearthly, inteligent and alien-like.

This is one of the best pieces of modern art I have seen around here. Compliment and I pull my virtual sombrero... click and save... and run.. LOL
Awesome character and work! fantastic image!
...and I'm afraid of mantis (while knowing that this is totally insane) - but your image is of such outstanding quality in all aspects that I wanted to see more than the thumbnail anyway. A marvellous piece of art!
Very cool
Incredible! Looks better than a lot of 3D work I have seen.

wonderful work. thanx
Fantastic artwork! Excellent.
uniquely done
Beautiful!
mantids & spiders are my absolute favourite insects! the greens in this are so rich and vibrant, and the details delightful... what i think i truly appreciate the most about this piece is the counterbalance betwixt the "creepiness" of the MANtis and the "cuteness" of his meal - puts a huge smile on my face, it does...
sublime

Wickedly wonderful! This is excellently done. The expression on the mantis and the meal is quite amusing. Bunny
Oh, man, that's unbelievable! Any idea how long it took you to make that?
Quite many insects look really inspirational when looking at them very close. Your imagination has made a huge journey with that mantis! Really great work you've done!
