Description

This week the chocolate ration was increased to 20 grams... Not my usual fare. With the thumbnail changes about to occur I thought about doing as Giolon suggested in the forums and make the most tit-tacular thumbnail ever, but instead I took a different route and posted some test renders of some sets i've been building with freestuff over the past few months. That is, I mixed and matched textures and freestuff objects with the help of the grouping tool to create something a little different than everyone else has, without having any modelling experience myself. As for the thumbnail thing, I don't oppose what they're doing but more how they're doing it. If they want to eliminate nudity in the thumbs fine, but the stated rationales other than 'some people don't like boobs in their face' are flimsy at best. The stated goals could be reached with much less drastic changes, like more people using the nudity filters and such. Like I said, If they want to do it they're entitled to set up the rules of the game, but i'd rather have them be honest and just present it for what it is, no spin attached. In other news, I've started a thread in the forums relating to being able to have one posted image show up in multiple galleries. Take this one for instance, posted in Poser->unspecified where it can easily also go into sci-fi, archtecture, and even perhaps social commentary. You can see the thread here : http://www.renderosity.com/mod/forumpro/showthread.php?thread_id=2681853 If you're so inclined please show your support, I think it would be a sensible improvement to the site.

I like these settings, especially the first on in the upper left corner. Kind of reminds me of a "making of..." book where the designers show early concepts of movie settings.

I'd have gone with the tittacular one myself, but oh well. LOL Some cool looking sets you've created...hope to see them again with some babes decorating them as well. :)

its sad but true that honesty is dead and lost on people.what is this about them candy coating the decision with this insult to our intelligence.

You always make amazing scenes, and these are no different. Creating compelling backgrounds continue to be my weakness. Also, I know I've got a mountain of PMs from you that I haven't answered, I'll try to get to them soon. Burning Crusade is burning up most of my free time. As for the thumbnail change, I bet you know where I stand. I'll adapt I'm sure, since I can just move from the first favorite thumnail shot (tits), past my second (ass), and on to the third (midriff, which isn't banned....yet).

Interesting display of different textures with a nice touch of mix'n'matching, I see the extra chocolate is having an effect ! as for nude thumbs, I can take it or leave it...it's not important to me, I know what I'm looking for and that is Art for Art sake, that is my honest opinion. ~Cheers~

Absolutely true- there are countermeasures in place to filter nudity already. If people cannot use the tools they are provided, to sheild their sensitive eyes to such work, then perhaps they should go elsewhere. What a bunch of ridiculous and unnecessary pandering to the minority, and a minority too bothered to click on a simple web form checkbox.

Well I love the scenes. The thumbnail situation could probaly be handled better. But I can understand what you're saying about the nudity filter. As for your proposal I have to agree with you.

I am DISGUSTED with this image. There is a complete and total lack of breast, oil, spots or head tails. I am certain that this image is against the site's new ToS, and I will report you immediately. May God have mercy on your evil, perverted soul. (j/k - love it)

Dear Pete, HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND???? 20 GRAMS OF CHOCOLATE FOR A WEEK???? That's barely even one bite - and a little bite at that!! And whoever heard of measuring chocolate in grams anyway?? The minumim size useful unit is pounds, with tons being the preferable way to gauge the size of one's chocolate stash!!! I had to get the floor of my apartment reinforced when they installed my chocolate vault!!! The very thought of only 20 grams a week has me so upset that only one thing will help!!! (Munch, Munch) Renderosity is like any other business. They do most things pretty well or they would have gone away a long time ago. The thing they do worst is communicating. Sadly, it's a pretty common failing - and leads to unnecessary problems here and in our workplaces. I too do some unpopular things at times - things folks don't like - but I always try my best to "sell" the idea to everyone and try to make them understand the reasons why I'm making that decision. A little PR beforehand can head off a lot of problems. I realy like all your sets!! That had to take some time to get everything together and customized!! I always am in a rush to toss things together because I need to get something posted !! You are a heck of a lot better organized than me - and most people!!!! ;-) Love ya!!!
