Description
Well i've been saying long enough that I intended to make more GOE (Girls of the Empire) pics to add to the pile Poserhobbit and Meselfr have been producing, so here it is.
While I think this looks okay, it didn't come out as sharp as I wanted it to. That said, for this piece I tried some raytracing and DOF (Depth of Field) stuff that I haven't tried before, and in light of that I think it came out decent.
The Character is a slight variation of my Jolene character, Breast/body mags by Wyrmmaster, hair by daz (modified by me), speeerbike from http://scifi3d.theforce.net

Very nice! I might have made the girl look at the camera. As is she looks a little blank faced, b/c she's looking at nothing. I really like the use of the emblem on the ground, it gives it a unique twist. :)
Fantastic! I didn't know stormtroopers were that hot!
Well, ok - she might not be looking at the camera - but she is looking GOOD!
Kool GOE pin-up, yes the lighting is great ! but IMO for DOF to make a bigger impression, you need larger 3D structures in the foreground and background to see the effect better, just a suggestion, this is still a fine render ! ~Cheers~
Very very cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Excellent!!!!Bravo
Excellent--I really like the lighting in this one!
HA! I thought that looked sort of like Jolene! lol. Great image. Love the insignia on the floor. Too bad her arms are crossed though. ;)
Jwiest hit it on the head for me. Excellent image, but need to see more..LOL! Great job.
Wow!!! Cool character, background and posing!!!
If Vader had more of this chick in his army, he will win the star war ! Excellent ;)
Excellent work! More Girls the more the Emperor will love us! (LOL!)
Dear Pete, I think everything turned out very well!!! And I think it's an interesting experiment with Depth of Field (DOF to spare my manicure!!!) I think it would be interesting to compare them with and without DOF in this case. DOF is a tricky thing that is a product of the invention of the camera. If you look at the old paintings, you will rarely see it, because WE don't see it. Our eye lens are subject to the same limitations as a camera lens, but because we continuously move our mental focus (and adjust our lens,) so quickly as soon as we become aware of things in the distance we automatically compensate for the DOF limitations of our eyes. DOF is tricky with a camera, too. Mostly, we try to take pictures and use lens that minimize it because we want the entire photo to be sharp. We can't control where people look, so whether they look at something close or something far, we want all of it to be in focus. And yet, at times we also deliberately use the DOF of a camera for specialized effects. Macro lens used for close up work with flowers, butterflies, etc., are a good example, where we want the subject to be very sharp, but the background completely blurred out. The key point to remember when doing Poser things is decide what type of "picture" you are trying to create. In this case, if we are standing there looking at this gal, then we want to minimize DOF because out eyes aren't going to see it. If we want to show a photograph taken from the same place with a short lens, then yes DOF might be apparent. In this case, I think with the hard geometric lines of the floor, you might prefer the "eye view" to the "camera view!!" I think doing an additional render or two with varying DOF would be an interesting experiment. I may play with a series of renders myself to investigate Poser's capabilities!!!!! Very nice picture and a great addition to your series!! And also, a very thought provoking one that sets us all to learning!!! Love ya!!! Meredith
Looks awesome to me! The image might be not sharp enough for your standards but the girl is... HOT!
Gorgeous image, excellent work!!!!!!!!
Incredible I think camera wise this is the best pin up I've seen you do! I really in love with the angle of the camera and the pose of this GOE.
Yeah, couldn't find a scout helmet.
Really cool!!!!!
Excellent to see how you have posed this strong looking beauty! Also the light and POV looks fantastic! A fabulous work you have posted here! Bravo!!!
Nice work, a close up could be nice too.
