Description
I had a lot of reservations when i started restoring this old photo. There were TONS of scratches and dots, many yellow staines and some information was just not there, as some paper was missing. The pic looked very flat and grey. Also i had to do a lot of improving on the shadows under the nose, which were just too dark. The shadows formed a kind of Hitler moustache... LOL
Ah, and Carol, This pic had some information on the back.
It read (translated): "Souvenir from your sister Angele, 1923"
Have a GREAT monday, everyone
Dirk

You did a fantastic job with the photo restoration! You restored this? This is totally incredible.
An excellent example of photographic restoration. Well done indeed! Mike
Wow!! Superb! Excellent job! This is fabulous restoration! You can't even tell where you did anything! Great work!
Not having seen the original i can only imagine what an awesome job you did to it. Even if this had been a new digital photo to begin with id still say you were absolutely successful with your postwork cause i just love the endresult here. Excellent job indeed! #:O)
Wonderful restoration. Well done.
Well, considering what you started out with, Dirk, you have done a top notch job! Nicely accomplished!
No idea how the orginal picture looks maybe a great idea to show both in one window to see the diffirents.... basic and end result So far i can see its a fine job
Next time give us the "before" image too please. LOL I can sense it is a tremendous job and would like to see the full extent of it. Judged from the edges I'd say it is very well restored because the edges normally suffer most. The frame wraps up a good finish to the overall picture. There was a time when we did this with water colour brushes to restore the damage. Excellent, Dirk.
Looove this, love the postwork, looks like its from the thirties, fantastic!
Yeah, it would be nice to have something to compare it to. It looks good though!!
Great job on the restoration, agree with above, need a comparison original photo.
you did a super job on this one
Great job, Dirk!
