Description
After three days of wave after wave of freezing rain, the weather finally turned bitter cold and everything froze out. The pictures really don't capture how beautiful the trees looked in the sun, when they would sparkle like diamonds. But it was also sad, as the ice crushed and flattened many trees, even ones 50 or 60 years old. This was supposedly a once in 25 year storm, and it will take that long to repair the worst of the damage.

Fantastic view! Beautiful shot!!!
Splendid image
I know how destructive that can be but it's still so beautiful, there's just something magical about the boughs sheathed in ice with the sun twinkling off them. sigh The sky is an excellent backdrop for them too. Really nice capture. ;o)
wowwwww. this is absolutely beautiful! lovely photograph!
Sorry to hear of the inconvience due to weather. However, I admire the fact that you are able to find some beauty in an ugly situation. Hope things don't get too bad for you guys out there right now. Great photo.
absolutely beautiful !
Beautiful capture.

oh wow...glass trees, fabulous capture, shame that something so beautiful could be so distructive,
I love this picture,
It's a wonderful capture alright, it's like something out of a fairy tale. Great shot!!
It is a superb capture! I hope you are staying warm.... Karen :)
wonderful capture..The sun never came out here, so this would not have been possible for me.. By including the frozen branch in the foreground you give this image a great sense of depth..
Frozen Beauty! Beautiful... Aloha
impressive view! love the frozen part against that strong sky!
Beautiful view, and the icy branches turned out so well.
Oh yes, so beautiful picture and very nice composition and color !!! :)
wow, one excellent wintershot!!!
looks like you got more then we did, surreally beautiful look!
Wow, what a great shot, and what a shame that so many trees were lost!
Very well captured and I like the use of the diagonal lines of the branches from an artistic point of view. Sad the trees had to bear the brunt.
Truly winter wonder land. Magnificent capture.
Love this one, makes me colder though, lol, Bravo!
