lovely pice of art love the monocrome does make the pic very special
From a time with craftsmen took pride in their work. Lovely piano and wonderful photo.
lov the color, great details
That is one of the most beautiful pianos I've ever seen, really. And judging from the floor boards, it does look huge indeed. Perhaps the POV makes it look a little smaller. Really wonderful monochrome colors, I love it. My compliments!
Neato Kort :o) Hugs
I like the effect of the photo and with respect the piano, is magnificent an historical beauty... incredible!!
Wanderful shot, great moody tones.
A marvelous shot! It's interesting, that the square grand design was to save space in a parlor. Unfortunately, they went out of tune very quickly and required much maintenance. In fact, Steinway had a line of square grand pianos, and because of the inherent problems, took their entire inventory and burned them in a huge bon fire! Cheers :)
Strange - I didn't know they came square. Nice shot and super presentation !
Well, that sure ain't no honky tonk! Wonderful POV and detail on this capture of the old music maker! Love the sculptured piano legs.
I realy like a craftmenship on a structure...look at those carved legs!
what a nice image.....it express so much....lovely one for a postcard as well
From back when craftsmenship meant everything thing. An outstanding piece of history as well as music.
Something about Piano music that stops everyone in their tracks to listen. Beautiful.... Aloha
an awesome piano and capture. before when I was working a lot, often I had to move some hellacious heavy antique pianos to paint. no fun believe me. some would take 5 1/2 men. I was the 1/2 because I quit over lifting long time ago
very lovely
What a lovely piece! I can imagine the craftsman ship that went into that! Nice to see it preserved. Thanks BJ
no, its 1881, the time where the bach instruments coming from germany to the armericans and then the plays the blues and jazz(laughing)! nice detail, what me remind of pop and art, em! lg. lordlotte
Always a pleasure to see such craftsmanship. Thank goodness there are people still out there that make beautiful instruments. I wonder who played this and who embroidered the piano stool?
This image has a definitely sublime feel to it. The concept of bigger than life, the grandeur of the image... incredible! For some reason, I too get goosebumps when I look at this image. The angle at which this photograph was taken, is most perfect, contributing greatly to the overall richness ....... I could look at it this image all day, as it brings back so many childhood memories for me.....Thank you! And again, a lovely image Kort!
The sound these make is just as grand as it's looks.
I can understand Nita's comment. There is something a bit spooky looking about it. I wouldn't be surprised if occasionally someone hears a slight tinkling sound from it when no one is there...Love the way you toned this. Thanks for sharing Kortalouche and hoping you're having a 'grand' Sunday. -M :^)
I can almost see a ghost sitting there right now?? Now, if I could only hear the music??? Amazing image of this grand piano!!!!!!
A fantastic music scene you have capted here! The sepia like tones and the POV looks brilliant here! Bravo!!!
No probs with the ebots and a very grand antique and nice sepia tones ~Cheers~
I've seen these in tours of old mansions and yes, they are huge. Very nice capture. :0)
