Description
This image illustrates the weight of the ice on the trees. As you can see they are bent double.
A local meteorologist made a calculation that a 40 ft. tree with the 2" of ice that covered most trees here, was supporting 3000 lbs of ice.
We got a total of 3" of sleet on top of 2" of ice followed by 2" of snow.
