Thanks for visits and comments on "Yellow for my partner"
This one is a closer view of the male white lion whose cubs I uploaded recently. We were told that the way in which the paws are turned help regulate body temperature. I tried to capture good detail with the new Canon, I only have an 85mm lens, I hope the detail is pleasing enough.
Have a super week everybody!

another excellent image of the blonde lion well done Piet
The details are amazing! A perfect picture! :)
Excellent shot! It can be difficult to get nice shots during the heat of the day because of the strong contrasts between light and shadow. Here you have successfully managed to avoid the strong shadows. Well done Piet!
very much an exceptional capture and he is so beautiful. congrats on the new Canon
I see how they are twisted, again, he is the best looking lion, very photogenic too. Superb capture.......
wowwww, very beautiful picture Piet, and excellent composition and color!!!EXCELLENT!!! Good day ;)
What a fantastic capture of this white lion. A wonderful photo!!
A really good photograph with great balance of light and shade. Thanks for sharing. Mike
The detail is more than pleasing, Oom. I can see his eyelashes. Astonishing shot. Beautiful... Has he been biting one of this back legs? Hugs. Di
Such a majestic animal and exceptional capture!
Another terrific shot! Thank goodness he looks content instead of hungry! :0)
super Photo and light!
Amazing, what an impressive animal! Fascinating creatures indeed and so wonderfully captured!!! Superb!
Fantastic capture of an impressive animal. Very well done Piet!
Here we go again. Another boring lion picture... LOL - just kidding. I would be tickled senseless, if I had the chance to take one in the wild. How do you get that freaking close to him, without being used as a snack between meals? 35mm? You must have been right in his face for crying out loud! Oh! The image. Superb! Clear and outstanding in both composition and light. Kudos. Right now I have only two thumbs available, but you get them both. Way up.
Gorgeous the 85mm is one great lens and fast and obviously use of good field craft.. The lion appears very relaxed!!
Excellent image. The details are outstanding!
You master of lion photography...I love your shots!
Great shot of one handsome lion. John
the detail is pelasing enough for sure.... a wonderful shot of this relaxed one
Lions are so incredibly beautiful especially this one. So unique and a beautiful animal. Very interesting your info about the paws turning to regulate his temperature. Excellent......... Aloha
It's a terrific shot and you're right - he does look very content. And he doesn't seem to care much about you and the camera either :)
wow that looks close up. Bet you was spooky to get that close
He is so beautiful and you are masterful at capturing him.
What a terrific shot...the clarity is super! My daughter (the one with the good eye) LOL got herself a Canon 30D. She hasn't shot much with it yet so it's too new for me to borrow it yet...but I'm timing her! LOL Excellent composition and POV...looking forward to seeing more. ;o)
I am amazed at how nonchalant this is around you. The light and focus have been excellent on this series. Wish you well !
Ag Moeder Ma! Kyk net daai gesig! Hulle is darem maar werklik PRAGTIGE diere! Ek sal graag een wil has 'n huisdier. Dink net hoe lekker warm hy 'n mens kan hou in die Winter hOom Piet? giggel Werklik 'n meesterstuk!
