Description
Just a quick deviation from the lions and I hope you find the masked weaver (Ploceus velatus) or Maskenweber in German very colorful. The male builds the nest and entices the females to join him. She will inspect the nest and either rip it apart or just leave if she does not like the new home. The male is the one hanging underneath. I am glad I am not a masked weaver, LOL! This photo is also dedicated to a close friend Marie who is going through a tough time.
I plan one or two photos with close up detail of a lion.

What pretty birds and brilliant color to cheer Marie up! Give her our best. Superb capture.
Great capture, and what a colorful pair. It would seem as though the home inspection is pretty intense, at a focal length of 85 mm you must of been pretty close. Great work!!

A really demanding house partner :)..nice image and colors....great job...
Wow look at that nest, how intricate it is and what a bright colour the birds are. This is an excellent capture to get them both in the shot.
Superb capture ! Gorgeous.
Wondefully done needless to say I love this one!!
The timing and clarity along with colour is stunning.Into favs !!!
Really nice. I like the amount of detail available in this shot. And due to the fact that these bird are busy bodies and always fluttering around the nest it is remarkable how you captured both at the nest as this required split second timing. Well done oom Piet I believe one of your more challenging shots but great execution.
Beautiful...de kleuren van de vogels zijn prachtig...
