Wow...he's so tattered! Looks like he found the last flower in the garden. A nice shot. ;o)
I agree, looks like he has been pretty beat up. Great macro. Also, thank you for your comment on my gallery. Aloha and have a great week.
wowwww, very beautiful and nice butterfly!!! I like this colour!!! Good week ;)
What an outstanding macro of this colorful butterfly. Beautiful as always. Perfect POV as well, shooting from "below" it as it spreads its wings. Truly beautiful. Have a wonderful week Wendy. #:o)

Fantastic pic as always, Wendy ! Superb colors of that butterfly you got in perfect angle !! Excellent week for you, too q:)))
Beautiful, macro Wendy. wonderful POV and colours. Have a happy day and hugs. Di.
Yeaeaeaeah, a bit of sun in this claudy weather...Very nice picture!
Cool photo! I think that one was up here a month ago with perfect wings....they fly a long way-amazing they survive at all ;^)
Beautiful and captured just right! (Yes - it is a Monarch!)
I really like the backlight on the wings. It really lights this up and the detail is wonderful even in the buds.
What a fantastic macro shot. Wonderful colors and light!!
Yes, Monarch for sure...well-worn one. I got a great shot of one yesterday, only because he was on the ground and close to death. I think he just reached the end of his lifespan. Too bad they can't live forever.
huge image but worth the wait. great shot!
You know I seen one a couple of months ago on my garden shed, ran to get my camera set up, opened the door and he flew right over my roof, I was gutted. This is a super shot Wendy, well captured...Cath xxx
