Description
This pict of December 12th, 1999, was probably my very first use of Photoshop. It combines a photographic background of a painted wall with a hand-made portrait of Iris, drawn March 29th of the same year. This was outlined with an India ink brush and coloured with watercolour pencils reinforced with Tria markers, a solution which gives a thinner textures than the pastels (compare with my pastel posts dated October 9 to 20th). Here Iris is slenderer than both when younger and older (compare with my yesterday post, when aged 12 and 16), because it

simply a marvelous portrait study.she is a beautiful young lady
Sympathique gamine!
Wow.. I do not know if you are from the Netherlands (Holland), (I think you are from France) but you did an amazing thing. From the "Sign" (armour/weapon) of Amsterdam (3 crosses) you made a short of necklage (2 crosses) and the other collors are purely from The Hague (de facto capital).. my city. The cap, the lines on the shirt (green and yellow). There is a constant battle between the two cities. and you combine it so well and add some flowers and a lovely face. Search online for the local soccer team (ADO Den Haag) and you will see that your drawing would be welcomed there 100%... esp. as one of the three X's of Amsterdam is missing. The Hague has Queen and Government.. Amsterdam hasn't.. grin It has the Tourists... That is an amazing drawing you made, full of funny coincidences
Pretty study with lovely outfit. Great! :)
I would never have guessed that the shell necklace is of any symbolic meaning, which is why it's good to read other peoples comments, and to try to understand what they see in a render too. My one criticism is that the smile wrinkles at the corner of the mouth seem overdone somewhat, and appear (to me at least) to be age wrinkles, making her look more mid twenties rather than an adolescent. A bit of smudge softening (or blurring) would have done wonders. I think that blurring should have also been applaid to various other lines deliniating the body to give more of a charcoal sketch felling rather than such a stark two-dimetional image. But even so, it is still a good piece of art, and well representative of its genre. I'm giving it a top rating. Yours truly, David P. Hoadley

Another interesting image of Iris at a point in her life. I hope the new morphing tool in Poser7 will make this type of figure much easier to build. I like this pic of hre a great deal, maybe it's the big smile. :)
Je l'adore ! Elle est super "vivante" et tr belle ! Bravo a toi, Elcet !
