I also love chickens. Many years ago when we lived out in the country, I asked my husband to go buy me 10 chicks from a man selling them on the side of the road. I told him not to bring home roosters! Only hens. He brought 10 chicks home and told me the man promised they were hens and no roosters. It was not long before I could see I had 10 roosters and no hens! I laughed every morning at 3:00 a.m. when they began to crow and woke my husband. :-)
