Trying to keep fit by hiking to Lake Waiau 13,020 ft elevation on Mauna Kea. Hope to get in shape as Terry and I will be taking a new hiker to the lava flow. We just don't want to look bad in front of her as she has been in mountains higher than ours. Aloha and thank you for viewing

wow......it invites me for a swim.....gorgeous view
Indeed a stunning shot buddy! hmmm I'd die if I had to hike like that... wouldn't it be easier to just hire a helicopter? :P yeah I know they take $$$ ;) Awesome shot though! Thanks for sharing!
Oh wow thats just so pretty, what a photo and what a place.
Big water and big hills! But, where are the trees? I would need to sit under a big, spreading tree by this water. :-) Fantastic shot.
LOL!!! Getting fit for your female hiking-buddy huh? Sounds....very manly actually. LOL. What a harz landscape, not much vegation is there. But it sure has an amazingly blue sky and blue water. Good luck with your exercise buddy! #:o) ALOOOOOOHA!
What a calm place! Like it! Super shot!*****
god, what a gorgous image! How beautiful and clean!! Right..where are my hiking boots...and a ticket to hawaii I think ;) Shame my travels don't take me that way!! grrrrr. :) Have a great day Aloha!! :)
Great shot Errol. Last time I was up there we couldn't get out of the lake area. Altitude too high so air gas mixture had to be adjusted. Boy were we afraid. Had to use shortwave radio that time to ask for help. It is soooo beautiful up there. Hope you had a safe Halloween. Aloha
wowwww, very nice and beautiful landscape!!! I like this composition color!!! Excellent my friend!!! Good day and happy halloween ;)
Fabulous capture of this bleak landscape - this is going to get you fit climbing up there to show us these scenes.
It must be some trek to this hight! Amazing shot!
That red and barren land... love it !
So calm and peaceful and a great photo!
Beautiful blues captured. :)

Nice view, great color. It's hard to picture high mountains with our traditional views of Hawaii.

Beautiful almost Martian landscape save for the water.
LOL! Don't want to be shown up by a girl eh? LOL!! It's OK, all this excercise is good for you! I love the sky in this, especially in contrast with the red terrain, looks very nice! 8-)
