Description
Here's a common scene in my yard-- one or two Band-tailed Pigeons get lucking enough to land on the feeder. Within moments, all their pals decide that's a good idea as well and start mobbing the feeder, eventually upsetting the apple cart. All fly away and restart the process. I watch from the front porch, it's entertainment for hours...
The Band-tailed Pigeon is found along the Western coast of North and South America. It is considerably larger than the feral pigeon, much more shy and found around edges of forested areas. Populations are significantly dropping and it may soon be considered a "threatened" species. It is also part of my latest Songbird ReMix package entitled, "Gamebirds". Rendered in Vue5I
