Description
This was taken at the Bonne Terre lead mine in Missouri. The mine ran out in the 1960's(?) and today it's a tourist attraction. A good part of the mine is flooded, and is open to divers; the rest is a walkthrough cave. The water is unnaturally clear, seeing it in person it doesn't look real, more like something out of a video game. This catfish is the only fish (and practically the only living thing) in the water, and they don't know how it got there.

Very nice photo and a great history on it. Poor catfish... someone ought to relocate it or put another in for company... :-)

such a different image it really caught my eye as a thumb. sad story for the catfish...great shot tho!!! Rob
WoW it's eerie seeing that ladder going down into the water reminds me of the movie The Ring. And the catfish just adds to the mystery. Cool shot...
