He is a beautiful creature Jock!! Also love the ripples in the sand here. Great shot.. I step around him in respect, as you say dead or alive.. I am glad you saw him after such a long time. His colour is beautiful. Na night and hugs. Di
Oh, Wonderful, I live 35 miles from the Gulf of mexico and this is perfect. Ever eat a peaunut butter and jellyfish sandwich? Yummmm, LOL Oh, Jocko, Good to see your work. Hope you remember me.
Great macro of this creature here..I agree with rainbows, love the ripples in the sand..beautiful colors too! Excellent shot Jocko! :)
One more original and excellent shot from you! Bravo, my friend - have a beautiful Sunday!!!
Beware! If you step on that jellyfish it'll swallow you up and you'll never be seen again. That's why there are so many missing person reports each year. Love the lighting and sand texture. Cool shot, Jocko!
the purple is the poison sacks ! you're right, don't step on them, even when they are dead, this one is slowly melting away...fine macro Jocko Cheers
oh it my brithday too
Amazing what those can do to cause pain. Excellent. Aloha
Well Happy Birthday!! Great shot, nice and sharp, a nice abstract from the sea!
Great shot and once again you have brought back memories of growing up in Galveston County. We always carried meat tenderizer in our beach bags just in case we stepped on one of these. Meat tenderizer takes the sting out. They were everywhere in the sand!
Excellent capture Jocko. Not a Portugese Man Of war but I reckon it could give you a nasty sting just the same. Another thing to steer clear of on the beach is the weaver fish..stand on those and you will have feet like baloons..I did and the pain was enough to make you bite the bullet Lol! Excellent work. well done!
I never seen one dead laying on the sand and luckily I never got stung by one. I was at Galveston with a former g.friend years ago and she got stung by one and because she was giving me a hard time about nothing, I wanted to tell her that I did not feel a thing, but I kept my mouth shut.good idea most of the time!!!
Nice capture and hope you have/had a wonderful Birthday!! :))
