Funny you should ask! When I originally created this image, it was meant to be an ongoing (Recycled)thread, with different messages on the screen, and of course the underlying theme of things discarded....

I'm not sure open-air landfills are something we see much of in our area any more; I also think Western society has become much more aware of the pollution issue, hence the drive to reduce unnecessary packaging and to recycle or re-use the old. I'm all for it! Great concept, though: equating warfare with waste. War certainly can result in wasted lives, wasted resources, wasted cultures...

No humour is a good sign! Gets the creative stuff going. Well, I haven't been duped into getting a mobile phone yet nor will I but I have bought a Wacom tablet. I need it!!

I never thought I'd hear myself saying this, but the sludge looks awesome, lol! I agree with Jennyfnf though, it's a sad consequence of our consumer society and it will catch up to us one of these days.

Well done ... the screen's messages remind me of the subliminal memes in John Carpenter's movie "They Live." Perhaps you could have included a dollar bill with the subliminal message, "This is your god!" Well done ... I appreciate the import.

reminds me of all the ancient broken and fallen carved stone, mummies, tombs and falling down pantheons, temples, cities under cities and wasted civilizations in crumbled states of decay... even in the oldest caves we find the disposel of old bones, beads and tools etc... where-in there is greatness there is always an overflow of indulgence... we consume we trash, the staff of life? Take only what we need? aaahhhhh.... the spartan life!
