Description
Made the mountains by taking Bryce cubes and pyramids, stretching them and then using "altitude mask" from above, to make a grayscale. Experimented with all sorts of terrain editor filters until it looked good enough.

Looks fantastic Dave, the depth and clarity is superb! The cat is very much apart of his environment. Wonderful work! (=
Great piece of work. The effort you've put into achieving a different look for the terrain has paid off with nice clean lines in the mountain background. The lighting works well too...
The mountains are great and so is the lighting! I also like the vegetation and textures.
Nice effect, not unlike a serigraph except unlike any I've ever seen!
COOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL
very nice, great composition. i'm painting an oil painting now, similar to this. :)
A gorgeous scene! :B eaver !
It would be pretty difficult to not like everything about this render. I particularly like the silhoutetting--is that a word?--of the foreground and how it creates such depth to the rest of the picture.
VERY NICE!!!!! Thank you.
Cool image!
Great mountains and image.
Outstanding ! Nice composition !
Impressive looking scenery, reminds me of the Jungle Book.
Pushing the limits expands the envelop and ones knowledge. Well done.
Cool. Bryce has so many nifty tools that I've found sorely lacking in more sophisticated programs, things like altitude mask, plop render, yada yada. Excellent technique!
Cool work. I love tigers.
Everything in your image belongs there, your mountain is out of this world, pose, shadows etc, just perfect.
Marvelous image !!! That light and colors coming in is just spectacular !!! Beautiful work !!! Have an awesome day ! ~~*****~~
