Wow, Geoff, these must be two of the weirdest; and in 1916 too. Sopwith knew a thing or two by then so how could they come up with an idea for sitting a gunner aloft in that pod. It must have made the plane unhandy to fly and must have obscured the view of the pilot (or did he look backwards (joking)? I hope none of them saw active service, though the Baron would have loved them.
