Description
This one is for ShirleysShowcase. She lives somewhere in the southwestern US and has been on the lookout for a horned toad to photograph for me. Unsuccessful so far but we hold out hope for one someday.
I hope I captured the feel of the southwest even though the image is fairly simple. More detail seemed to clutter it so I went with smooth lines.

I think it is a marvelous job of recreating the desert areas. I never see the horny toads in Texas ,but Oklahoma has thousands. I would catch as a child and keep them a short time, then release them. wolves are not to prevalent in the desert, but it's your desert so you can have anything you want!!!
Super panoramic image. Looks like a hot and lonely place but the animals don't seem to be worried. Excellent Bryce work nancy. well done!
Lol!! I would have used coyotes but this is all I had. Tried to stretch their legs and make them skinnier and rangier looking but they still look like wolves. Oh the shortcomings of my purse, lol.
Excellent image Nancy ... interesting depiction of the southwestern desert region. And if it'll make you feel any better I've seen coyotes that look like these. The well fed ones that is. Well done! *****
Hi Nancy, Looks like you were in my neighborhood, you should have stopped by. I really like it, looks like home *****. Shirley
excellent panoramic landscape!!!!
I lived in ElPaso Tx for a long time, the High Desert and Mountains, you did a really Fine job of captureing it. The only thing a little off is those Coyotes look pretty well fed. Excellent work, you made me Homesick for the Southwest. &............. Peace PS Theres more Horned Toads in New Mexico than Texas
beautiful coyotes romaing in the desert .. wonderful work we saw some in red rock this last year ill never forgot the eyes glowing in the twilight ...!!
Well done desert scene. My wife and I both love the desert (at night it's the coolest place). A beautyful but hostile environment teeming with life.
I love the feel of the desert in this.
Excellent landscape and scene.
Great expanse of space and composition. Nice!
Excellent!!! we have wolfs but no desert :)Bravo!!!
Superbly creation!!!!Fantastic!!bravissima!V:DDD.Hugsxx
Great desert scene! Well done! Love the title too... :)
Excellent work Nancy.as always!!
I've never seen this part of my country but this is what I would imagine the desert to look like...vast, barren and beautiful. The two lone coyotes really add so much to this and make it come alive. Excellent artwork hon.
WHoah! Late to the party? This looks great sweetie! I love the desert!! You captured the bareen lanscape well! You must teach me how to get the XFrof plants into Bryce...I have many, but can't figure out how to import them...Excellent job!!
Looks like the place to me. I lived outside of Scottsdale, Az. for several years and I think you got it about right. When I was a little(r) boy back in Texas we had horny toads in our yard, but as the years went by their numbers diminished until now the kids there don't know what one looks like. Times change, I guess. Great job here! Nice distance to the moutains on the horizon back there, and that sky is beautiful!
excellent composition ! perfect balance in all elements.
The coyotes just looks like wolves, but in fact it are coyotes,a beautiful desert landscape,I like panoramic size,Excellent work!!!!
oh wait!! I see a horny toad right there is the shadow of the grass. Poking his head out! Looks like he's saying..."who me, you looking for me?" Excellent rendition of the desert, looks so darned hot you could fry an egg in the sand. LOL! There is a magazine called Arizona Highway, now if you like desert scenes, its definately a feast for the eyes.
I'd say it was a good choice. Yes, it can be hell when trying to adjust to vision when it's dependent on a purse. But then, that often spurs a road of creativity. Actually, it seems to me that the foreground coyote actually looks like a coyote. This is excellent!
Whoa! It's perfect desert!
watch out for the Gila monsters! scorpions in yer boot!
hope those coyotes not eating them all lol cool looking
Great scenario and atmosphere. Coyotes? Wolfes? I thought they were a couple of stray dogs looking for a horned toad! 8-) Well, I suppose, I can't count them as being naked...
I've not been out west for quite some time, but if I remember it accturately, it looked a lot like this! Excellent!
Looks like a desert ot me too ! don't know about horny toads, but in OZ we have plague of cane toads...FOUR (that's my favorite extermination method !hehehe) all I could suggest is maybe a Mesa or two ? LOL & Cheers
I can see this kinds of lands only in the movies!!!Fantastic work my friends!!!CIAO!!!!
