Description
Hard to say what to call this. It's a screen shot from the Microsoft Train Simulator from an 'activity' I was building using MSTS and the UK Steam Branch Line add-on.
My work was selecting the trains and the weather. Then selecting the camera angle for the snapshot.
Later I added a bit more 'rain' effect in Corel PP9 as well as the elephant skin texture to suggest a painting. Some texturizing of the smoke and the player's train (the red coaches) and some texturizing of the gravel.
What's happening here? The player's 4F Fowler is leaving the Carlisle yards with a mail coach and three passenger coaches. Another 4F is entering the yard with a string of freight vans and 5-plank coal waggons. 'Our' 4F is still venting steam from the safety valve as it prepars to get up to speed for the mainline.
Where does a screenshot stop being part of the app and 'creative work?' I dunno, but I think it's a cool shot that will appeal to steam train lovers anywhere. Sometimes I just run out of photos to work on....
Enjoy; thanks for viewing.
Hmmm, just spotted the headlamp code of the train is still set for 'freight' and not 'passenger' service. OK, sue me! ;-D
