Thanks for taking a peek? Thanks for taking a peek? PeekA Poo! :)) It is really strange one like you said Ms. Daniela :) I saw then in here as well at the ZooPark and some places in Florida.. But sorry!! i can't remember the name of it.. To me it looks like an alien flower from out of space :P And i can see three other red spots in your shot!! So are we under attack!! LoooooooooL the AlienFlowers WaR!! :)) No i am serious now.. Love the POV/DOF of your shot, very well done on not centering that Alien thingy!! I like that shot.. Thank you for sharing your art Daniela.. And hope no AlienWars will be around :P See ya around Ms.. JOE
gorgeous! I love strange things which probably explains my husband... I'll have to watch other comments here to see if anyone comes up with a name. Lovely shot.
we have some weeds here that produce a flower very similar but they are blue. most beautiful flower and superb capture
It might be a pincushion flower. It is beautiful whatever it is! :)
I'd say this is one of the many proteas... but cant say for sure! ;) lol Excellent shot and the compo is awesome! Excellent shot! Thanks for sharing! Good luck on the quest to find the flowers true identity lol :P
Now that is an odd looking flower. Like out of a sci-fi movie. Beautiful flower.
I suspect between Kai & Donna they hold the key to its true identity: Pincushion Protea (Leucospermum cordifolium) http://www.microscopy-uk.org.uk/mag/artdec05/bjprotea.html BTW: Very well composed.
Well of course it was a strange flower Danielle. They had it locked up in a Zoo...helloooooo! LOL. Maybe its part of some wildlife preservation program, lol. Regardless of its purpose in life...it does indeed do one thing though...and that is looking BEAUTIFUL!!! Wonderful capture once again my friend. Have a beautiful day! #:O)
It almost does not look like a flower, but something that would crawl all over you. Good find Danielle. Can always count on your for the awesome flowers and natural beauties. Hugssssss
Indeed it is a Protea...the wonderful island of Maui is home to many different varieties. These flowers make excellent and hearty arrangements, as they last for a VERY long time. Beautiful capture of it's natural beauty and bold colors!
Hrrmmzz, looks like a Western Australian Warratah to me....
