Description
This is my mother helping cook at my brother-in-laws birthday party yesterday. She wouldnt stand still to let me take her picture so I thought I would work around that. I, personal, like the blur effect, with the background being almost transparent through some of her. I tried a type of frame work that I have seen on a few images in R'Osity that I thought looked very cool.
Thanx for viewing :-)

It cool OK. My Mums like that, even in her seventies she's like a blurr in the kitchen! Cracking effect you've acheived here, the kitchen is a place of movement like this and your shot conveys this well. I've got mixed feelings about the frame, I don't "not" like it, but would be curious to see it with perhaps a plain black frame. Then again the colours are good, like a stained glass window to your kitchen.
Very creative image... Indeed I like the blur effect very much ! Great frame ! :~)
Very cool image !
Lashia, that is so cool! Faster than a speeding bullet! Nice light and shadow. I have some old American Civil War photos in my database -- no, I didn't take them -- that show similar effects. The subjects had to remain perfectly still while the photographer took their picture on a glass plate, but every so often one of them moved. The military parades show a lot of that blurred movement. No 1/2000 shutter speeds back then.
hahaha.....that's pretty cool, like something out of smallville!!
Awesome Shot. Great capture of motion. +++
Very appropriately titled and the blurry image very suggestive of the title.
Hello Lashia :) Nice to see your posts back again!! But this time, i can really tell that you are showing here something new! not only the composition tho!! But the quality! Very impressive.. Love your selective colouring as well.. And what an exposure here!! Nice action captured shot Ms. And i love it!! Thank you for the post and the lovely story.. And tell your brother in law.. JOE SAYS!! HABBY BIRTHDAY!!! TooooooooooooooT, ToooooooooooooooT.. Sigh JOE
Very nice presentation, love the motion too!
Awesome timing - framing - colour selection and compo!!! I love the old stove!
Lashia,I really love the dynamics, the blurred motion of the elbow. Well done.
LOL very funny idea. Great capture.
Lovely image and one that, for me, reflects a universal truth... our mothers work hard throughout their lives for us, so this is a picture of that (forgive the pun) as they seldom have a moment to rest and just to be still. Thank gOd for our mothers!
Slow shutter has worked to your advantage - an excellent capture !
interesting and nice
Haha, now this one is a very interesting shot. Great motions and I like how the coloured frame adds a very subtle contrast to this great b/w-image. Looking forward meeting your mum soon ^^ Love you
Sweet family moment, i like this kind. Postwork fits well your shot.
