Description
As the Major saw there would be no chance, killing young skullpecker and getting out alive he took a last glance back.
He saw the sarge perishing in the blasterfire of peckers droids, while skullpecker sped towards him having realised the Majors plan.
With a yell the major grabbed the bomb and hurled himself into the reactionchamber of the huge reactor.
As the bomb touched the plasma it exploded with all devastating power of a nuclear device.
The containmentfields of the reactor evaporated and matter collided with antimatter uncontrolled.
Skullpeckers ship dissolved in a blinding ball of energy.
Once again , the evil forces of the universe had been stopped, sadly at the cost of the majors life and that of his friends.
Fortunatly, the girl had managed to get away in an escapepod.
She hoped to reach a place the Major had told her about.
Dystopia.
The Major had many friends there , even the Emporer owed him, for once saving the city.
She would be able to raise her child there in peace and well protected.
In honor of the Sarge she would call him Charly, and undoubtly he would get the Majors Name as well.
She would train him well, for she knew it was the familycurse to fight all evil.
It would get a long voyage so she went into the cryo chamber for suspended sleep.
Slowly fading away she thought about, what life would bring for Charly Django.

Ooooo! Shivers down my spine. A great climax to an epic space opera that has been a long time in the making. I'm glad to know that there is a sequel in the making already... even if it is still the fetus of an idea. Terrific imagery here... and a very well written finale. :o)

Nicely done mate, a sad but fitting end to the major, what you'd expect from the guy who started as Cpt.Dj,who very nearly conqured Dysyopia, then saved the place form certain destruction...... And I guarantee S.Ch.Moe (Supreme Chancellor Moebius) will definately take the girl in under his Bigness' protection, I promise this on my honour as Real Everything Airborn Leader - Dystopian Armmed Flying Thingies,(R.E.A.L-D.A.F.T.)
